Anche Youth di Sorrentino
Sarà Demolition con Jake Gyllenhaal e Naomi Watts, ad aprire la 40esima edizione del Toronto Film Festival, in programma nella città canadese dal 10 al 20 settembre, proprio a ridosso del nostro Festival del Cinema di Venezia.
Il film del regista canadese Jean-Marc Vallée (Dallas Buyers Club, vincitore di tre premi Oscar), racconta di un broker (Gyllenhaal) che dopo la morte della moglie, cade in una spirale autodistruttiva, almeno fino a quando non incontra una mamma single (Watts).
Al TIFF 2015, ci sarà anche Youth-La giovinezza di Paolo Sorrentino, nella sezione “Special Presentations” con Black Mass di Scott Cooper con Johnny Depp, che sarà proiettato in anteprima mondiale al Festival di Venezia 2015 il 4 settembre, Colonia di Florian Gallenberger, The Danish Girl di Tom Hooper, anche questo in concorso alla Mostra del Cinema, Dheepan di Jacques Audiard e Guilty di Meghna Gulzar.
Nella sezione “Gala” , spazio a Septembers of Shiraz con Salma Hayek e Adrien Broody, Freeheld di Petter Sollett che vede Julianne Moore nei panni di un’agente di polizia e The Dressmaker di Jocelyn Moorhouse con Kate Winslet e Chris Hemsworth.
Il programma del Festival comprende anche svariate anteprime mondiali, come quella di The Martian (Sopravvissuto), nuovo lavoro di Ridley Scott che vede protagonista Matt Damon, Where to Invade Next di Michael Moore; The Program, biopic su Lance Armstrong di Stephen Frears.
