L’88esima edizione degli Academy Awards prende forma.
Poco fa sono state annunciate le tanto attese nomination agli Oscar 2016, in calendario il prossimo 28 febbraio al Dolby Theatre di Los Angeles con la conduzione di Chris Rock.
Senza troppe sorprese, The Revenant, che esce nelle sale italiane questo sabato, ha raccimolato la bellezza di 12 candidature tra cui le più prestigiose ovvero Miglior Film, Miglior Attore Protagonista per Leonardo DiCaprio e Miglior Regista per Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu.
Al secondo posto, Mad Max: Fury Road con 10 menzioni, The Martian con 7 e Il ponte delle spie con 6, anche se il regista Steven Spielberg è stato estromesso dalla corsa a cinque per Best Director.
Otto sono i film candidati alla categoria più importante, ovvero, miglior film: La grande scommessa di Adam McKay, Il ponte delle spie di Spielberg, Brooklyn di John Crowley, Mad Max: Fury Road di George Miller, The Martian di Ridley Scott, Revenant-Redivivo di Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu, Room di Lenny Abrahamson e Il caso Spotlight di Tom McCarthy.
La statuetta dorata per migliore attrice potrebbe andare a Cate Blanchett per Carol, Brie Larson in Room, Jennifer Lawrence per Joy, Charlotte Rampling per 45 anni e Saoirse Ronan per Brooklyn.
Dal versante maschile, ecco Bryan Cranston per Trumbo, Matt Damon per The Martian, Leonardo DiCaprio per Revenant- Redivivo, Michael Fassbender per Steve Jobs, Eddie Redmayne per The Danish Girl; l’attore inglese che ha vinto l’Oscar per la stessa categoria, lo scorso anno, per la sua straordinaria interpretazione ne La teoria del tutto.
La cinquina dei candidati alla miglior regia comprende Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu per Revenant – Redivivo, Adam McKay per La grande scommessa, Room di Lenny Abrahamson, George Miller per Mad Max: Fury Road e Tom McCarthy per Il caso Spotlight.
Dopo aver vinto il Golden Globe per la migliore colonna sonora, Ennio Morricone si è aggiudicato anche la nomination all’Oscar per le musiche del western The Hateful Eight del regista Quentin Tarantino (nelle sale italiane il 4 febbraio).
Piuttosto scontata la vittoria di Inside Out della Pixar come Miglior film d’animazione, mentre tra i film stranieri si meriterebbe il gradino più alto del podio lo splendido Il figlio di Saul dell’ungherese László Nemes, già premiato col Globo.
Essendo un film in lingua inglese, non è potuto rientrare in quest’ultimo gruppo Youth – La giovinezza di Paolo Sorrentino che si è dovuto accontentare della candidatura per la miglior canzone originale: potrebbe anche spuntarla, ma le canzone favorite sono Writing’s On the Wall del film Spectre e Earned It della rivelazione dell’anno The Weeknd, brano della colonna sonora di 50 Sfumature di grigio.
